Advanced operation of SEM course
In this 1- or 2-day course, analytical techniques which are available on the FEGSEM are taught, such as Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy EDS (elemental analysis) and Electron Backscattered Diffraction (EBSD).
The training is divided into 1 day of EDS and 1 day of EBSD.
You may choose which instrument you would prefer for SEM EDS course, either Zeiss Supra 55VP or FIB-SEM FEI Quanta 3D.
Specimen preparation for EBSD is not covered in detail during the EBSD training course. This is due to the varied requirements and difficulty of preparing some materials for EBSD which may be time-consuming. We are happy to discuss your requirements should you need such training since we can design a suitable training course specifically for your needs.
Lunch and coffee breaks are included in the courses. Each day will then have a total time increased by 1 h 40 min, totaling 6 h 40 min for EDS course or 7 h 40 min for EBSD course.
At the end of the course you will receive a certificate of attendance.
